Safeguarding our customers against online fraud

As artists, we understand the dedication and effort that goes into creating something meaningful. Sadly, we’ve noticed an increase in counterfeit websites claiming to sell Winsor & Newton products. These fraudulent sites target potential customers, often through social media, offering misleading discounts that result in financial loss and undelivered products. 

We take this issue seriously and are actively addressing it. Our team is working closely to report and shut down these fake sites. 

To help you shop with confidence and avoid falling victim to these scams, we’ve put together some advice: 

  • Be cautious with social media adverts. If you see an advert that doesn’t come from our verified accounts and doesn’t link to our website, it’s not us. Fake ads may use our imagery and branding to deceive you. 

  • Watch out for urgency tactics. Scammers may create a sense of urgency, pressuring you to act quickly without taking the time to check details. Be cautious of any messages that discourage you from seeking advice or taking time to consider your decision. 

  • Do not pay over the phone. Winsor & Newton will never ask for payment details over the phone. If you suspect suspicious activity on your account, contact your bank or card provider immediately. 

  • Carefully review links, email addresses, and website URLs for any misspellings or unusual characters. Be cautious of subtle alterations, such as winsorandnewton.top or similar variations, as these are not legitimate. If you have any doubts, please contact our customer service team for assistance.

If you think you’ve shared personal information or placed an order on a fraudulent site, contact your bank or card provider straight away.
