The Artists' Colourmen's Room Welcome to The Artists’ Colourmen’s Room. This museum traces the origins of the raw materials used by artists, the development of commercial manufacture and sales by artists’ colourmen and the history of Winsor & Newton. Originally opened in 1982 to celebrate the company’s 150th anniversary the museum was completely refurbished in 1995.
